Spain Wine Tasting - Travel Photography

Vendimia, the Harvest Season at Ribera del Duero, Spain in September 2023, was an unforgettable experience for me and my daughter on our girl's trip. It was a journey that surpassed our expectations, immersing us in the rich history and culture of wine towns in Spain. As a photographer, I was ecstatic to capture the essence of this remarkable adventure, preserving the precious moments in time through my lens.

Our days were filled with indulgence as we visited breathtaking locations like castles and underground bodegas, where the beauty of the surroundings was perfectly complemented by the taste of exceptional wines. Every sip seemed to transport us through time, connecting us to the stories of the land and its people. The theatrical storytelling brought history and culture to life, giving us a deeper appreciation for the winemaking process.

View from our stay at Mirador Del Valle

Mirador Del Valle- our lil apartment even had an underground bodega.

Throughout our journey, we called Mirador Del Valle in Villafuerte, Valladolid our home. The setting was nothing but breathtaking, with views that inspired my creativity. The gracious ladies running the place made our stay even more memorable with their warm hospitality. And the breakfasts! Oh, they were divine, presenting us with a delectable array of local delights to savor before embarking on our daily escapades.

It is normal to get the curtains outside the main door.

A gift from La Olmilla!

One of the highlights of our trip was being a part of the Bori Wine Week, led by the charismatic and passionate Viaja Con Alvaro, an honorary Puerto Rican guy who made every moment unforgettable. It was during this week that we had the privilege of experiencing Alfredo Maestro's knowledge under the stars. His expertise and passion for winemaking shone through as we listened intently, captivated by his stories and insights.

Learning about history with a theatrical twist. It was so fun! La Olmilla

La Olmilla got us a private Flamenco show on their underground bodega and it was amazing!!!

One evening, the splendid La Olmilla treated us to a private Flamenco show in their underground bodega. As the dancers moved to the rhythm of the music, their passion and elegance filled the enchanting space. It was truly an unforgettable performance, and I was on cloud nine, capturing emotions and moments that would forever be imprinted in my mind and my photographs.

Another gorgeous Castle

Viaja Con Alvaro put together an amazing tour for us.

More wine? Why not?

Lagar de Isilla with this lady and her Venezuelan spice was so much fun!

Bodega La Olmilla in Penafiel holds a special place in my memories. They hosted a mesmerizing flamenco night. We expected so much of our trip, and we all fell in love with Spain again. It has become one of my favorite destinations to visit.

Lagar de Isilla appetizers were so yummy!

they worked hard for their wine :D

‘Da Castle!!

In conclusion, our journey through Vendimia in Ribera del Duero, Spain was truly an unforgettable experience. The beauty of the wine towns, the flavors of the wines, and the warmth of the locals all combined to create a magical atmosphere. My wanderlust extends beyond boundaries, and I am available to travel worldwide, capturing the love and connection that binds people together. Vendimia was a reminder of why I adore my craft, and it has left an indelible mark on both my photography and my soul.

We did wine tasting under the stars. Wine was good, the astronomy class was amazing, and the whole vibe was unbelievable.
