Surprise Engagement at Boqueron, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico
Last December, as I sat in the bustling Jacksonville Airport, my heart skipped a beat as I received a message on Instagram. It was Miss E, and she was asking if I was available to photograph a surprise proposal in the enchanting town of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. Can you imagine my excitement? It was like the universe aligned just for me. I was on my way there even before this message!!
Before the proposal, the family was so happy for E & C!! C had no idea of what will happen next…
We talked, made plans, and I couldn't help but feel the anticipation building. Not only was I going to witness a beautiful surprise proposal, but I was also going to have the chance to meet Miss E's family and her girlfriend's family, who were flying in as a surprise too! It was an opportunity to capture a real-life love story in its most authentic form.

Fast forward to the day of the proposal, and the air was filled with an electric sense of happiness. Miss E couldn't contain her nerves and excitement. Little did Miss C know what was about to unfold. As we spent the day taking family photos, laughter and joy filled the air. E's family welcomed me with open arms, and it felt like I was a part of something truly special.
As we strolled through the charming streets of El Poblado de Boqueron, capturing moments of pure bliss, I could feel the love and anticipation building. We reached Boqueron Beach, just as the sun began its majestic descent. The children played happily in the sand, completely unaware of the magic about to unfold.
Beautiful C had no idea she was going to be engaged in a little bit…
E was ready to proposed to her beautiful girlfriend!

Finally, the moment arrived. Miss E looked at me, a glimmer of excitement in her eyes, and I told Miss C that I wanted to capture their love against the backdrop of the breathtaking beach. "Could you stand over there and look towards the horizon?" I asked Miss C. Little did she know that her entire world was about to change in a matter of seconds.
With her heart racing, Miss E got down on one knee, holding out a ring that could only be described as mesmerizing. As Miss C turned to look at her, her expression transformed from surprise to sheer elation. It was a moment frozen in time, a moment that symbolized the boundless love between these two incredible souls.

But the surprises didn't end there. As Miss C soaked in the joy of her engagement, her eyes widened in disbelief as her closest family members appeared seemingly out of thin air. Mom, Dad, Sister, and Grandma joined in the celebration, and it was a moment that brought tears of joy to everyone's eyes. It was a moment that reaffirmed the power of love and the importance of family.
Moments like these are what make me love being a photographer. The raw emotions, the unexpected surprises, and the sheer joy on people's faces are priceless.
