Aftershoot Photographer’s retreat in Cusco, Peru

Imagine a place where time seems to stand still, where every corner is a postcard-worthy moment waiting to be captured. That's exactly what I found in Cusco, Peru during the Aftershoot photographer's retreat that was unlike any other. I was drawn to the rich history and vibrant culture of this magical city, eager to capture its essence through my lens.

As a nostalgic storyteller, my camera became my pen, and the landscapes of Cusco became my canvas. Each click of the shutter felt like etching a memory onto film, ready to be shared with the world. The colorful markets, ancient ruins, and smiling faces of the locals painted a picture of a culture rich in history and tradition.

But this retreat was more than just about taking pictures. It was about seeking out those fleeting moments that are easily overlooked in the chaos of everyday life. Like a moment seeker hunting for treasure, I found myself drawn to the smallest details – a fluttering butterfly and a ray of sunlight breaking through the mountains. The people I met along the way were like characters in a novel, each with their own unique story to tell. From seasoned professionals to enthusiastic amateurs, we all shared a love for the art of photography. It was a community united by creativity, passion, and a desire to learn from each other.

This retreat was about so much more than just taking photos. It was a journey of learning, of observing, of immersing myself in the beauty of my surroundings. And as a moment seeker, I couldn't have asked for a better playground. From the picturesque streets to the majestic mountains towering in the distance, every scene felt like a painting coming to life.

One of the highlights of this retreat was the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the top professional photographers from around the world. These artists, who could easily have let their success get to their heads, were instead humble, kind, and generous with their knowledge. It was a reminder that true greatness is not just about talent, but also about the willingness to share and inspire others.

Leaving the stress of everyday life behind, I found myself surrounded by like-minded individuals who shared my passion for photography. Together, we explored the city, seeking out hidden gems and capturing moments that would live on forever in our photos. And as a travel photographer, I couldn't have asked for a more whimsical location to hone my craft. I left behind the hustle and bustle of daily life and found myself in a whimsical location where time seemed to slow down.
